Facility Maintenance Reimagined
Facility maintenance management is a very real requirement for many organisations with property portfolios. Major supermarket chains, utility companies, educational establishments, local councils, central government, housing associations, banks, real estate managers (realtors), etc. – the list is almost endless. Day-to-day upkeep of properties, arranging scheduled maintenance, timely reactive maintenance and general upkeep can be a major headache.

We do this with a combination of Oracle Primavera Unifier FMRE (see detailed solution) and Oracle Field Services Cloud.

Providing automation and flexibility to handle customer-specific facilities management needs, Primavera Unifier is a Web-based solution delivered via an intuitive graphical interface. Facility Maintenance provides a solution to handle Maintenance Management, Facility Condition Assessment and Space Management, while Real Estate delivers tools for planning, tracking, and managing your real estate portfolio, including leased and owned properties. From transaction management processes such as site selection and acquisition to property disposition, Primavera Real Estate Management offers a comprehensive and flexible solution that can adapt to changing rules and compliance requirements and optimize strategic decision-making.
In itself, Oracle Primavera Unifier FMRE is a powerful tool guaranteed to improve the management of property for any organisation. However, whilst the “back-end” management is fully accommodated, what about engineers and technicians in the field? That is where Oracle Field Services Cloud (OFSC) comes into play.
As its name implies OFSC is a cloud solution, accessible by any computer, tablet or smart phone. Dispatchers receive requests for maintenance, either scheduled or responsive, and OFSC helps identify the most appropriate resource by a combination of location, skills, availability and even helps identify if any required repair items are available on the engineer’s vehicle. It is a “self-educating” system so can also help with understanding available skills and competency from the engineer. All this is presented on the dispatcher’s dashboard, including map displays of both job and engineer location. Once the engineer is scheduled the requester is given an estimated time window for attendance. Engineers update the work request on completion of visit and this is fed back to the dispatcher and back to Unifier FMRE.
OFSC is a very respected application for field service, used by many household names already; coupling it to Unifier FMRE delivers an integrated solution for all facility management and real estate needs.
Of course, this solution doesn’t just meet the needs of facility maintenance. Oracle Primavera Unifier FMRE also allows full management of all Real Estate needs – property portfolios, space management, related documentation and renewals, lease management, and so on, whilst also delivering the ability for full capital project management from the core Unifier solution.
