Milestone shortlisted for UKOUG Partner of the Year Awards 2012!

UK Oracle User Group has revealed the shortlisted Partners for this year’s Partner of the Year Awards which features Oracle suppliers in a variety of areas including awards such as; E-Business Suite; Public Sector and Innovation Partner of the Year.

We are pleased to announce that Milestone has been shortlisted for three awards:

1. Small Business/General Business Partner of the Year Award
2. Primavera and Oracle Project Partner of the Year Award
3. Training Partner of the Year Award

The shortlist for the Partner of the Year Awards follows an initial round of judging that took place last week, whittling down 132 entries to the smaller list of shortlisted Partner entries that will compete for prestigious awards over nineteen categories at a ceremony in October.

The Adjudicators, all end users of Oracle, have shortlisted up to six Partners for each award, and we are pleased to have been shortlisted.

Oracle introduced a new project portfolio management app for the Apple iPhone and a Web application for a variety of tablet computers that streamline communications between project team members.

Oracle’s Primavera P6 Team Member for iPhone and Oracle’s Primavera P6 Team Member Web interface enable project managers, project controls professionals, PMOs, and others to capture and share status information using mobile devices. P6 Team Member Web interface is optimized to run on most tablet computers or browsers.

Milestone: new reseller for Collabro Legare

Project Manager Today Software Review: Milestone's Rapid Start

Since Oracle’s acquisition of Primavera there have been many changes that increase the range of functionality offered. Steve Cotterell, technical editor, examines the result.

Milestone is Oracle’s only UK Platinum Partner specialising in Primavera and handling application configuration, consultancy, sales & marketing and training.

The current version of Primavera 6 is release 8.2 and its full title rolls off the tongue as Oracle Primavera 6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - or P6EPPM for short! This can be a completely Web-based tool and shouldn’t be confused with P6PPM which is the client/server system.

As well as offering the mainstream Primavera products, Milestone can configure and install an ‘Accelerated Product’, a preconfigured version of P6EPPM for small and medium-sized construction companies that they deliver as a packaged offering.

For those organisations unable or unwilling to host their own Primavera software, Milestone also has a solution, known as ‘Rapid Start’. This combines the ‘cloud’ system offered by LoadSpring, an American organisation that hosts software for their clients, and delivers P6EPPM as a hosted solution. Milestone tells me that they have ‘many hundreds’ of users of this joint package, and that ‘more are joining regularly’.
