Description
All Primavera administrators must disable JRE Auto-Update for their end users immediately since JRE 7 (1.0.7) is not yet certified with Primavera applications.
Occurrence
If end users have Java Auto-Update enabled, their installed Java JRE 1.6 version will be automatically updated to JRE 7 as early as July 3, 2012, at the latest by Sept. 7, 2012 after the release of 1.6.0_35 (6u35).
Symptoms
It is important to disable the JRE Auto-Update on end user workstations now.
- Primavera P6 EPPM is not compatible with JRE 7 yet and fixes are required to make P6 compatible with JRE 7
- JRE 7 has not yet been certified with Oracle Primavera Contract Management
Workaround
For reference on disabling Java auto-updates, see also Doc ID 905051.1 “How to disable Java automatic updates.”
