LoadSpringMobile: Project Management Solutions Streamlined for the Mobile World

Oracle Acquires Instantis

On 8th November, 2012, Oracle announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Instantis, a leading provider of cloud-based and on-premise project portfolio management (PPM) solutions. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and approvals and is expected to close this year. Until the transaction closes, Oracle and Instantis will continue to operate independently, and it is business as usual.
Projects, programs, and initiatives have increasingly become change agents within an organisation, resulting in new requirements for next generation software solutions. Enterprises in many industries realise the need to provide IT departments, product development teams, and business process leaders with an application to manage multiple corporate initiatives, and improve strategic alignment, execution and financial performance.
By combining Instantis with leading capabilities from Oracle's Primavera and Fusion Applications, Oracle expects to provide the most comprehensive set of cloud-based and on-premise Enterprise Project Portfolio Management solutions allowing customers to plan and execute initiatives throughout their organisations.

The cover design, its quality and the quality of paper is excellent and, on the shelf, would put it in my sights.
The examples provided were helpful. Whilst not from an industry I am particularly familiar with they were understood and helpful in explaining the use of the tool.
There were some excellent sections where items were explained really well and good examples given. The section at the beginning as an example, highlighted the differences between the P6 Optional Client and P6 Professional and how the client and web interact. This really good explanation did get muddied later on when the name being used for the client was neither P6 Optional Client nor P6 Professional.

Each year UKOUG hosts the UKOUG Partner of the Year Awards. This year's awards were presented last night, Thursday 18th October at The Roof Gardens, located one hundred feet above Kensington High Street in central London.
